Through Camera, Professional and Advertising

Photography has become extremely widespread and common in the 21st century. The term photographer is typically applied more narrowly to one who practices photography as a serious or semi-serious pursuit.

Etymology

The word photography, and by extension photographer, is derived from the Greek φῶς (phos), meaning "light", and γραφή (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", combining to mean "drawing with light".
