Terms of Service

These are the rules for using Lably. We have written them in plain English rather than boilerplate, because the people agreeing to them are often parents deciding whether to trust us with their child.

Last updated: 29 July 2026Governed by the laws of India

01About these terms

Lably is a learning platform for school students in India. These terms are an agreement between you and Lably (“we”, “us”, “our”). They apply every time you create an account, open a lab, run code in the Dojo, buy a plan, or use anything else on lably.in or in the Lably apps.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use Lably. If you already have an account and no longer agree, you can stop using it and ask us to delete it — see the Privacy Policy.

Two documents go with this one. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and what rights you have over it. The Refund Policy explains the 7-day money-back guarantee. Both are part of this agreement.

02Who can use Lably

Lably is built for learners from Nursery to Class 12, which means most of the people using it are children.

If the learner is under 18

Under Indian law a person under the age of 18 cannot enter into a contract. So if the learner is under 18:

  • A parent or legal guardian must read and accept these terms, and must create and hold the account.
  • The parent or guardian is agreeing on the child’s behalf, is responsible for how the account is used, and is responsible for any payment made through it.
  • The parent or guardian may ask us at any time to show them the child’s data, correct it, or delete the account.

We do not have a way to independently verify a person’s age, so we rely on this being done honestly. If we learn that an account for a child was created without a parent or guardian’s involvement, we will contact the registered email and may suspend the account until consent is confirmed.

If the learner is 18 or over

You can accept these terms and hold the account yourself.

If the account came from a school

When a school gives a student a Lably account through Klasroom, the school is responsible for obtaining parental consent for its students, and the school’s agreement with us also applies. See section 7.

03Your account

  • Give us accurate details when you sign up — name, email and mobile number. We send a verification code to your email, so a wrong address means you cannot get in.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at support@lably.in if you think someone else has access.
  • One account, one device at a time. Lably signs you out of the previous device when you log in somewhere new. This is deliberate — accounts are for one learner (or one family), not for sharing around a class or a group.
  • Do not sell, rent or transfer your account, and do not use someone else’s.
  • Your public profile is off by default. Nothing about a learner is shown publicly unless someone deliberately turns it on.

04Plans and what each one includes

These are the consumer plans as of 29 July 2026. Current prices always live on the pricing page, and the figures below are read from the same source, so they cannot drift apart.

PlanPriceWhat it gives you
Free₹030 minutes of learning a day, across all subjects, for one grade. No card needed.
Lably+ Monthly₹79/moUnlimited learning time and every Lably+ feature, for 30 days from payment.
Lably+ Annual₹599/yrThe same, for 365 days from payment. This is the plan most people buy.
Family+₹1,499/yrEverything in Lably+ for up to 4 child profiles on one login, across different grades, for 365 days.

Lably+ unlocks unlimited time, the AI doubt-solver and step-by-step Maths solver, exam-prep tracks, certificates, parent progress reports and offline mode, across 925+ interactive labs and 5 studios.

We may add, change or retire individual labs, studios and features. What we will not do is quietly remove a headline feature you paid for inside a term you have already bought — if that ever becomes necessary, we will email you and offer a pro-rata refund.

05Payment, term and renewal

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details — Razorpay handles them. We store only the payment reference, the amount, and which plan it was for.

There is no auto-renewal and no standing mandate. A Lably+ or Family+ payment is a one-time charge that unlocks access for a fixed term (30 or 365 days). When the term ends, access simply drops back to the Free plan. We do not keep a mandate on your card and we cannot charge you again without you deliberately buying again.

This is also what “cancel anytime” means on Lably: there is nothing to cancel. You are never locked in, and you will never find a surprise charge on your statement. If you do see a charge you do not recognise, email support@lably.in and we will trace it with you.

Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects a term you have already paid for.

06Refunds

Every paid consumer plan is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. If Lably is not right for your child, email support@lably.in within 7 days of payment and we will refund it in full.

The full eligibility rules, how to ask, and how long the money takes to reach you are on the Refund Policy page, which forms part of these terms.

07Schools and Klasroom

Klasroom is the school-facing side of Lably — a school ERP and LMS. School plans are quoted per student per year: Starter at ₹249, School at ₹399, with a free 30-day pilot for one class and custom pricing for multi-school groups.

School purchases are made under a separate written quote or agreement with the school. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, the school agreement wins for that school.

When a school enrols a student, the school decides what student data goes into Klasroom and is responsible for having the parental consent to put it there. We process that data on the school’s instructions. If your child is on a school-provided account and you want their data changed or removed, please speak to the school first — and write to hello@lably.in if you need our help.

School enquiries: schools@lably.in.

08Acceptable use

Do not use Lably to:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
  • Harass, bully, threaten, impersonate or abuse another learner — in leagues, guilds, lab battles, co-learn sessions, chat, or anywhere else people can see what you write. This is a children’s platform and we act on this quickly.
  • Post or upload anything obscene, hateful, violent, sexual, or otherwise unsuitable for a child’s learning app.
  • Copy, scrape, download in bulk, mirror, resell or redistribute our labs, storybooks, question banks or any other content. This includes automated scraping and using our content to train a model.
  • Cheat the game layer — scripting XP, faking streaks, manipulating leaderboards, or farming rewards through multiple accounts.
  • Attack the service: probing for vulnerabilities, overloading it, bypassing rate limits, reverse-engineering it, or trying to reach another user’s data. (Found a real security bug? Please tell us at support@lably.in — we would much rather hear from you.)
  • Use the code sandbox in the Dojo to mine cryptocurrency, attack other systems, or run anything that is not a genuine attempt at the problem.
  • Share one account across a class, tuition centre or study group. If you need many seats, that is what school plans are for.

09Our content and intellectual property

The labs, simulations, storybooks, journeys, problem sets, question banks, artwork, text, code and the Lably name and logo belong to us or to our licensors. Buying a plan buys you access, not ownership: a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for the learner on the account, for as long as the plan is active.

Teachers and schools on a school plan may use our material with their own enrolled students in the ordinary course of teaching. That does not extend to publishing it, selling it, or handing it to another institution.

Chapter names, syllabus structure and exam patterns referenced on Lably belong to the respective boards and examination bodies (NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, state boards and others). We reference them for alignment; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any of them.

If you believe something on Lably infringes your copyright, email hello@lably.in with the details and a link, and we will investigate and take it down if the claim holds.

10Your content

Anything a learner creates on Lably — code written in the Dojo, answers, projects, notes, profile taglines — stays theirs. We do not claim ownership of it.

You do give us permission to store it, process it and show it back to you so the product can work: saving progress, running your code, grading an answer, generating a certificate, or displaying your name on a leaderboard you have opted into.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload, and do not put personal details (phone numbers, addresses, school names) into free text fields such as profile taglines. We may remove content that breaks section 8.

11AI features

The AI doubt-solver, the step-by-step Maths solver and AI-assisted grading are powered by third-party AI models. To answer your question, we send the question — and the surrounding context needed to answer it — to that provider. We do not send your name, email or phone number with it.

AI gets things wrong. Treat an AI explanation as a study aid from a very fast, very confident classmate — not as a verified answer from a teacher, and never as medical, legal or financial advice. Always check anything that matters (an exam answer, a lab conclusion) against the textbook. We are not liable for a wrong answer produced by an AI feature.

Do not use the AI features to generate content that breaks section 8, and do not paste other people’s personal information into them.

12Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Lably up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. There will be maintenance, occasional outages, and third-party failures outside our control.

We are actively building. Features get added, improved and sometimes retired, and some parts of the product are clearly marked as new or experimental. If we retire something significant that you paid for, see section 4.

13Suspension and termination

You can leave whenever you like. Stop using the account, or email support@lably.in and ask us to delete it. There is no notice period and nothing to cancel.

We may suspend or close an account if it breaks section 8, if it is used to harm another learner, if payment is reversed or fraudulent, or if we are required to by law. Except where the breach is serious or we are legally prevented, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

If we close a paid account for a breach, we do not refund the unused part of the term. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we refund the unused part.

A school account can also be deactivated by the school itself — for example, when a student leaves. That decision belongs to the school.

14Disclaimers

Lably is an educational tool. We do not guarantee any particular exam result, rank, admission or grade improvement, and nothing on the site should be read as such a promise. Learning outcomes depend on the learner.

Virtual labs are simulations. They are built to teach the concept correctly, but they are not a substitute for a supervised physical lab, and no simulation on Lably should be used as instructions for a real-world experiment involving chemicals, electricity, heat or apparatus.

Beyond what these terms and Indian consumer law expressly promise, the service is provided “as is”.

15Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud, or for anything the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory rights as a consumer in India stand whatever this section says.

Subject to that:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost opportunities, lost marks, lost data caused by your own device, or loss of profit.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim connected to Lably is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you are on the Free plan, that amount is zero — but so is the amount you have risked.

16Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at our registered office in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Before anyone goes near a court, please email hello@lably.in. Almost everything — a payment that failed, a refund, an account locked out — is solved faster by a human reading your email than by a legal notice. We take complaints seriously and will respond to a formal grievance within 30 days.

Our registered entity details, including the address that fixes jurisdiction, are available on request at hello@lably.in.

17Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as the product changes. The “last updated” date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.

For a change that materially reduces what you get or increases what you owe, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and you may ask for a refund of the unused part of your term if you do not want to continue. Continuing to use Lably after a change means you accept it.
